Naengmyun w/ meat (고기주는냉면집)

Some information on 녕면 (naengmyun) from wikipedia here.

naengmyun is one of my favorite lunchtime meals. It’s cold, refreshing, tasty, and filling, and I eat the shit out of it, all the time. So I know what’s up. With that said, this is my favorite nengmyun place in Korea.

A recent phenomenon has been the rise of naengmyun houses giving some meat as a side accompaniment, and for the low price of just 5,000, it’s a great deal. The nengmyun flavor is a bit monoflavorful, so mixing it meat is a welcome addition.

At this place you order and pay first and take a seat. Then you serve your own water and 육수(beef broth). Everywhere has a different tasting beef broth… and the one they make here is.. AMAZING. It’s actually the single thing that steps this place above all the others. It’s a unique, very spicy flavor that doesn’t burn as a normal spice does. Peppery almost. I’m not sure how to describe it. Pure sex. That works.

It’s a little hard to find. But look up for the sign and enjoy the crazy neighborhood of myungdong.

Also just a warning that the spicy nengmyung (비빔냉면) here is very spicy. You’ve been warned.

Afterwards walk down the street and grab some ice cream. :) Here’s me, my mom, and a friend.

The meat referred here is dweji-gogi or so-gogi ? May I know what the others written on the “menu card” there besides the naengmyun ?
